Following the popularity of The One, a women’s fragrance, Dolce & Gabbana launched The One for Males, a men’s fragrance, in early March 2008. Stefano Gabbana was inspired to develop an uomo, a very macho and traditional scent, not a bland classic, but a classic men’s fragrance that would last for years and be the type of perfume that females appreciate. The notes of this fragrance were produced according to Dolce & Gabbana’s preferences, with a woody-oriental blend in mind. Gabbana remarked, “I adore spicy-oriental undertones and we’ve never done these types of perfumes.” It has a warmer scent than our prior men’s scents.

Following the success of The One, a fragrance for women, Dolce & Gabbana debuted The One for Males, a fragrance for men, in the beginning of March 2008. Stefano Gabbana’s inspiration for this fragrance was to create an uomo, a very manly and classic fragrance, “not a bland classic, but a classic men’s fragrance that would remain for years and be the type of perfume that ladies enjoy.”
The notes of this scent were created according to Dolce & Gabbana’s preferences, who intended to create a woody-oriental blend. “I enjoy spicy-oriental undertones and we’ve never done these types of perfumes,” Gabbana added. “It’s a little warmer than our previous men’s smells.”
Every 150ml bottle of The One EDT Spray by Dolce & Gabbana contains ethyl acetate, Water, benzaldehyde, camphor, methylene chloride, and limonene. Triethyl citrate, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Limonene, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl, benzyl alcohol, acetone, linalool, ethanol.
