Christian Lacroix Bazar Cologne, Bazar by Christian Lacroix is a lovely citrus-and-spice aquatic fragrance that is ideal for spring or summer wear. The top notes are vibrant and energizing, combining cold green melon, grapefruit, and the bittersweet florals of Japanese yuzu fruit with lavender’s crisp licorice accords. The citrus effusion of the opening warms to a wood and spice heart of cedar interfused with balsamic-fresh fir resin and softly scented caraway seed as this rapid introduction settles. The finish is a smooth, creamy combination of mild sandalwood, oakmoss, and amber. This fragrance was initially introduced in 2002. Christian Lacroix, a French designer, established his own fashion house in 1986. C’est La Vie, an oriental floral perfume for ladies, was the first fragrance released by the company in the 1990s. Nathalie Gracia-Cetto, Francoise Caron, Carlos Benaim, Laurent Le Guernec, Yves Cassar, Pascal Gaurin, Beatrice Piquet, Nathalie Lorson, Edouard Flechier, Jean Jacques, Sophia Grojsman, Michel Girard, Jean-Claude Ellena, Emilie (Bevierre) Copperman, and Bertrand Duchaufour collaborated on house scents.
