Fragrance in Words

Women’s oriental vanilla fragrance Charlie Black by Revlon. Orange, cherry, and lychee are the top notes. Almond and caramel are the mid-notes. base notes: heliotrope, coumarin, amber, vanilla, and musk. This pretty well sums up the fragrance’s notes: top notes include citrus, bergamot, hyacinth, green leaf, tarragon, peach, and aldehyde; middle notes include cyclamen, carnation, orris root, lily of the valley, jasmine, and rose; base notes include sandalwood, musk, vanilla, oakmoss, and cedar. Compared to the aldehydes in Chanel’s fragrance, those in this smell are less waxy. The perfume lingers for more than 8 hours, and in the last dry-down, ambery vanilla, sandalwood, and the dominant musk combine to make it more powdery sweet. Wow!
