Sweet anise and fresh tarragon are prominent in the first notes. Fruity and light middle notes include peach, rose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, geranium, hyacinth, and carnation. The aroma is completed with cedarwood, sandalwood, oakmoss, vanilla, warm musk, and orris. During the Great Depression, brothers Charles and Joseph Revson collaborated with scientist Charles Lachman to develop a pigment-based nail lacquer. This polish was different from the standard dye polish of the time, and it dried with significant opaque, comprehensive coverage. This single product was extremely popular in drug and department stores, and the Revlon brand was formed. This American company quickly expanded into a wide range of cosmetics and beauty care goods, including fragrances and lipsticks. The first scent was produced in 1935, and there have been hundreds since then.
