The scent begins with a spicy and zesty blend of bergamot, neroli, and different fruits. The heart is dominated by orange blossom, ylang-ylang, clove, jasmine, and rose. Oakmoss, sandalwood, musk, tonka bean, vanilla, leather, and benzoin comprise the woody base notes. Dana is a perfumery founded in 1932 by Javier Serra. With Spanish roots, the company quickly went to Paris to join the fashion industry’s heart. In the years leading up to World War II, the company released a number of classic and successful scents. Dana continued to make exquisite fragrances for decades after relocating to the United States after Germany conquered France in the 1940s. The brand began to move its emphasis to mass-market perfumes and acquired ownership of other iconic and classic perfumes created by other fragrance businesses.
