This light yet robust fragrance was created by Pierre Bourdon, and its simplistic packaging portrays a carefree, cheerful approach. Jil Sander, a German designer, founded her eponymous fashion label in 1978 after studying textile design in the United States and working at a women’s magazine and a store in her home country. Her ready-to-wear brands created a name for themselves in the fashion world by combining simplistic designs with rich textiles. Her Pure Man and Pure Woman fragrances were the first to hit the market in 1979. Sunlight for Women, introduced in 2018, is one of the brand’s more than 70 scents.
