Galbanum, neroli, bergamot, lemon, and petitgrain are among the citrus top notes in this fragrance. The flowery middle notes and woody base notes work together to create classic sophistication and elegance. Violet, sage, and iris dominate the middle notes before the rose aroma fully emerges. The flowery tones in this manly fragrance are grounded by base notes of tonka beans, oakmoss, and cedarwood. This was Geoffrey Beene’s debut cologne, which he released in 1975. The company was founded in 1963 and has since grown into a fashion empire with award-winning menswear, men’s and women’s accessories, and fragrance. Despite the death of its creator in 2004, the brand has remained popular. The company’s profits are contributed to a variety of causes, including cancer and Alzheimer’s research.
